From Open-Air Markets to a Modern Urban Hub
The former Oriental Markets site on Quay Street, Auckland, has undergone a dramatic transformation. Once a vibrant open-air market bustling with activity on weekends, this large vacant site has been reimagined into a thriving urban space. A comprehensive topographical survey provided essential data to guide the redevelopment. Today, the site houses the Britomart Carpark, a modern supermarket, and three towering apartment buildings, collectively known as the Scene Apartments.
Kiwi Vision played a crucial role in this Britomart redevelopment, contributing from its very early stages. Our team provided detailed topographical surveys to architects, planners, and designers, showcasing our expertise in surveying services and delivering essential data to guide urban development. Additionally, we prepared and lodged an application for a new underlying lot survey, creating parcels for road-taking to meet council requirements.
