Subdividing a piece of land, whether it’s cutting the family section into 2 or developing a 100 lot residential subdivision with roading and public infrastructure, involves many disciplines, consultants and contractors.

The steps in the subdivision process are :

  • Topographical Survey
  • Dwelling and boundary design
  • Other consultants
  • Scheme Plan
  • Engineering and Services design
  • Resource Consent Application – Land Use &/or Subdivision Consent
  • Engineering Consent Application
  • Site Works – Drainage, Access, Services
  • Engineering Supervision
  • Land Transfer Title Plan
  • Pegging Boundaries
  • Preparation of Cadastral Survey Dataset
  • Applying for Council sign off and apply for 224c
  • Lodge with LINZ, liaise with solicitor and get new TITLES
