Rearranging a Hillcrest Property for Luxurious Townhouse Development

This four-lot development in Hillcrest involved relocating the original dwelling to the rear of the site and constructing three new townhouses at the front. It’s a development style increasingly common across Auckland, offering a straightforward way to create high-quality, attainable housing on existing residential land.

Expert Services Delivered

To make this project logistically possible, careful surveying was needed to move the house to an area of the plot that’s compliant with council requirements while making space for three townhouses.

Topographical Survey

A full topographical survey was completed at the start of the project to map site levels, contours, existing structures, and natural features. This information would be used to develop a scheme plan and inform the subsequent development.

Resource Consent – Scheme Plan

Working closely with the developer, we addressed council requirements relating to layout, access, servicing, and the relocation of the existing dwelling.

Civil Engineering

Kiwi Vision’s engineering team designed the necessary site infrastructure, including new access provisions, stormwater and wastewater connections, and service layouts for each lot. During construction, we provided technical support to keep the project aligned with designs and council standards.

Surveying – Setout & Height Checking

Throughout the build, we supplied setout and height checking services to support the accurate placement of the relocated home and the new townhouses. These measurements helped maintain consistency with the approved plans with respect to positioning.

The Result
